Apple Cider Turkey Gravy

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 cups turkey pan drippings from Apple Herb Roasted Turkey or chicken stock
  • 1 1/2 cups apple cider
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch

Directions

  1. Strain turkey drippings. If necessary, add chicken stock to equal 4 1/2 cups.
  2. In a large saucepan over medium-high, combine drippings or chicken stock, apple cider, salt and black pepper. 
  3. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, stir water and cornstarch until smooth. Using a whisk, gradually stir cornstarch mixture into apple cider mixture.
  4. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil and boil until thickened, about 1 minute. 

Serves: 12

Test Kitchen Tip:  Place plastic wrap directly on the gravy surface to prevent a skin from forming.
